This past week was spent learning about forgiveness; what it means to forgive, and--perhaps more importantly--how to be forgiven.

I made up with my friends! What a huge blessing.

Went and saw The Stabilos last night @ SFU. Great company, awful venue, terrible sound, solid performance.

Have to pop out soon, but it was an exciting week; perhaps I'll elaborate later :).

Here is the lovely Magnetic Island, which is a short ferry ride from Townsville up the East coast of Australia. We stopped here for a night, did some kayaking. We were up high enough that we had to wear stinger suits (jellyfish season!), which was incredibly attractive. The hostel I stayed at made the best cappuccino I've ever had in my life. Highly recommended as a place to stop at for a few days if you're ever in that neck of the woods. It's also a marvelous destination to fantasize about when the weekend is over and Monday morning comes with the promise of another rush hour commute.

Had a really lovely day today :).

Hello hello!

Hahah I had to work at 5am this morning, so I hunched myself out of bed at 4 30. Let's just say there were a lot of customers who got a shot of Sara's drool in their coffee. Errmmm.... I mean just kidding (eww).

Oooh watch this immediately(!):

TEE-HEE! Bizarre in a "kinda-brilliant" sort of way.

Like an 8-year-old

Today I went school supply shopping! Merrily I went, up and down the aisles, like a Sara in a Mancandy store. I found my favorite pencils and pens, but once again my desire for the perfect notebook was thwarted. Is it too much to ask for a letter sized, top-spiral notebook in yellow? *Sigh* apparently this makes me "picky", but I say pffft to that.

So tomorrow is the first day of school. The first day of my last year of my undergrad. I can't believe it!

Yesterday I went for lunch with Lucy, who pretty much rocks my socks. It was good times.... good, good times. "Hilt'D!!!"

Today I got to see Kiri for the first time since February because she has moved to BC! I'm very excited about this!

In other news... well, there isn't any other news for now! But let me leave you with a pretty picture.

This is Positano... it's on the Amalfi Coast near Sorrento. Oh Italy. How I love thee.

The best remedy...

Woke up in Whatcom this morning and hit the road by 8, just me, Bubba, and my radio. Cruising through the forest with my windows rolled down, wind whipping through the car, listening to Guster and singing my fool head off, then shooting down the I-5, stopping only to body slam as much gas (at $2.79/U.S. gal) into the car as possible. No line ups at the border and I'm home safe and sound.

If ever there was a weekend that I needed to get out of town, this was it. I spent a few days in the woods with family and friends-of-family, and it seems like the perfect remedy for... well, whatever it is that's been happening. All the f***ing drama of the week left me exhausted by Friday, not to mention Megs and I scrambling to get some huge orders out of the warehouse before our last day (also Friday).

I needed this.
